I got out to Priest on the 22nd from about noon to 4pm. I launched at the west fork ramp and fished up the river the whole time. My first fish came off a black bitsy bug jig on my 3rd cast. I fished the rock wall for about 30 min. and nothing. I moved to the other side of the river and fished the wood. I noticed the baitfish holding pretty tight to the wood. I started throwing a Secret Weapon Spinnerbait in white with gold double willow blades. I caught 3 fish of the SWL but the secret was to make sure you hit the wood with the blade. I switched to a rattle trap and the bass would just slam it burning it past wood. I caught probablay 8 more bass before the end of the day. The last hour I just searched for a big big in a few of my favorite holes but no takers.
Not a bad day at all and it sure beats fishing thru the ice or sitting at home.

West fork of the river all the way in the back was around 55. It is probably the warm water rain run off. The more you got out too the main part of Stones river and the mouth of the East Fork the colder the water was, 48-49 on average. We have had a few cold night the last couple days so I am sure it is going to continue to drop.

Maybe you should give those poor bass on Priest a break and get over to OH so you have something in your Old Hickory Reports section....
