Hey All, I fished Percy Priest this past Sunday the 10th from 2:00 to about 4:30. My main focus was to practice my drop shotting skills. Which I have little to no skills drop shotting. I launched at Jefferson Springs, which I do not recommend. There is no place to beach your boat. I ran up to Spring Creek to fish some of the feeder springs. The water temp was 41 degrees but good color. I found a lot of bait fish but no biters. I came out of Spring creek to the main river and headed up. I fished the bluffs back to the ramp. I would first look for bait fish and when I found them I caught fish. I fished a DS Creature tipped with a small finesse worm in a Green watermelon color, rigged on 8lb flourocarbon, 6'6 med. heavy Team diawa rod with a Shimano open face. The only method that worked was just to cast it out and drag, stop, shake, stop and drag some more. Nearly all the bites came on the pause after the shake. I wound up catching 6 fish and 1 on a jig. None of them were monsters but it is a start with the drop shot. I hope to get out again and try a few other lures with the drop shot.
Thanks Billy
