Yesterday, 9/8/07 I had to work, however I noticed the cloud cover and a bit of drizzle in Nashville so I decided to head to the river end of Percy Priest. I put in and headed to one of my big fish spots. I fished the chunk rock area with a jig but not takers. I moved to the other side and started flipping wood. My 1st fish was a nice solid 17" fish that probably went around 3lbs. I fished the jig a bit more with no takers. I noticed a lot of bait fish in the water but nothing really running them. I switched over to a Reaction Innovation Vixen that I got from Mike Pewitt of www.midtnmarine.com and my 2 cast produced a massive swirl but no takers. A few casts later another massive blast and this time the fish came in. After a good fight the bass measured 22" on my board. I am not sure how heavy that fish was but guessing 6 plus pounds, it was a good fish. Unfortunately I did not have my digital camera but did manage a pic off my cell phone. I fished the vixen and a pop-r for a bit with a few dinks. The wind started picking up and I tied on a SWL Spinnerbait www.secretweaponlures.comin white/blue and started whacking numbers but not size. I stayed out for about 3 hrs and caught 25 plus bass. My best 3 keepers went around 12-13 pounds.
